A long-time resident of Murfreesboro, Joe’s relationship with real estate and construction started at the age of 14 working summers in the commercial construction field. His first supervisory position was at the age of 21 on a 129000 square foot industrial project and since then has designed, estimated, and built hundreds of thousands of square feet and thousands of homes. Starting his own residential real estate and construction company in 1992 enhanced his existing practical and applicable knowledge of the real estate and construction industry which benefits many aspects of the family owned and operated business. He and his wife Terry celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary this year and have 3 children and 1 grandchild living in Murfreesboro.

A native of Florida, Brenda graduated from the University of Central Florida in Orlando earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Legal Studies with a minor in business administration. Brenda furthered her education by receiving a certificate of completion from Victory Bible Institute in Tulsa, Oklahoma and completing additional business courses at Middle Tennessee State University. After working in banking, law, and Christian youth missions, Brenda settled in Murfreesboro, TN in 1996 and began her career with Swanson Developments. She has been involved in all phases of commercial real-estate including leasing, construction, accounting, operations and her current position as Chief Financial Officer where she oversees all finances and procedures of Swanson Companies as well as personnel at the new Leasing and Sales office at The Gateway Village. Brenda and her husband Kenny enjoy time with their two children, Emily and Andrew. They also own their own retail maintenance company. Brenda is active in her local church, at her children's schools and is a past board member of RutherfordCABLE, a business and networking organization for women.
Raised in Murfreesboro, she returned home in 2000 with her husband and 3 daughters to contribute to the family business. She received her BA in Business Administration/Accounting with a minor in Computer Science from Stephens College in Columbia, MO. Before returning home, she acquired her experience as office manager and bookkeeping from different firms over the years and most recently, managing her husband's optometry practice until 2000.
